WHAT IS KETOJAM?

KetoJam is a website and community dedicated to helping people lose weight and improve their lives with the Ketogenic Diet.

Created by Mark Hamblin after his own 200+ pound weight loss success, our goal is to help average people learn about the Ketogenic Diet, find their motivation, and provide ongoing support to help them achieve their goals.

We do not promote any "magic pills", expensive supplements, or other gimmicks.  Instead, we focus on providing actionable tips, practical strategies, and step-by-step guides for people to learn and be successful on their own.

WHAT IS THE KETOGENIC DIET?

The Ketogenic Diet, often referred to as "keto", is a diet consisting of high fat, moderate protein, and very little carbohydrates.

By following this diet, your body switches from using glucose as its primary fuel source (because you're no longer eating carbs) and instead switches to using fat as its primary fuel source -- either stored fat or fat you eat.  Your body turns this fat into things called ketones and fatty acids, which act as the actual fuel for your muscles and brain, and your body goes into a metabolic state known as ketosis -- hence the name "ketogenic."

The Ketogenic Diet has numerous health benefits, is backed by real science (increasing every day), and in our opinion, is the absolute best way of eating for substantial and lasting weight-loss.

WHO IS BEHIND KETOJAM?

That's me -- Mark Hamblin.  I created KetoJam after successfully losing 170 over 200 pounds with the Ketogenic Diet, completely changing my life (not an exaggeration).  Many people kept asking me "hey, how'd you do it?" -- so I launched the site to share my story and strategies with as many people as possible.

I am not some "fitness guru" who preaches from a soap box.  I am just a regular guy who has struggled with my weight my entire life, and want to share with you the practical strategies that finally worked for me.

Some random facts about me:  I'm a trained engineer, former college football player, and just so happen to hold a few patents from my days as a product designer on the original iPhone at Apple.  I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my fiancee and my dog, Rocky, where I work as an executive at a tech company.
